Call Center World: Clarity offers Hosting of Speech ApplicationsClarity-CEO Pfeiffer: "Hosted and Managed Services are the most important Telephony Trends"At the Call Center World, Berlin, Clarity is going to introduce a hosting model that can make speech applications available all over Europe in the shortest possible time. This means – according to Clarity – a fast and flexible distribution of speech applications without any prior investments in hardware or software licenses. “Hosting and managed services are for us the most important trends in the telephony industry for the coming years“, says Clarity chief Christoph Pfeiffer. The heart of this hosting model is a VoiceXML platform connected to the telephone network of a major European telecom provider. VoiceXML is the markup language for automatic telephone-dialog systems and has the same official status as HTML for websites. Due to this fact, VoiceXML applications from all other platforms can be migrated to the Clarity platform or vice versa very easily. The servers running the VoiceXML platform are hosted in secure facilities and are monitored around the clock against possible break-downs, etc. The platform can be reached telephonically, at minimal costs, from all over Central Europe, parts of East Europe, the U.S. and the Middle East. Additionally, Clarity offers geographical and non-geographical telephone numbers for most European and also for several non-European countries. Clarity provides best-of-breed voice recognition and speech synthesis software for all major European languages. Clarity offers different flexible pricing models from monthly fixed charges to call volume based billing. There is no upfront investment in hardware and installation and no costs for maintenance, thus ensuring a secure and faster Return on Investment. Clarity names the price performance ratio, simple scalability and fast and wide distribution as advantages of the hosting solution. According to Clarity, hosted and managed services make sense if they handle the overflow of call-volumes in peak times. For short-term marketing campaigns or promotional events, it is also more economical to host the accompanying speech applications rather than acquiring necessary infrastructure. Clarity also sees the application in the step-by-step internationalization of a company. “In the future, Clarity is going to expand its hosted services to telephony functions like Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) or call logging“, says Christoph Pfeiffer on the occasion of the Call Center World, Berlin. Talks are going on at an advanced stage with a provider who hosts the Clarity Communication Center. The Clarity Communication Center is a software based complete telephony solution for Call Centers, Hotlines and companies. Clarity at the Call Center World: Hall 1, Booth D9a |
